When Nicole moved to a new neighborhood, a pup named Pita showed up at her door — and started a daily tradition.
When Nicole and her husband moved into their new home, they didn't know anyone on the block yet. That changed almost immediately when an unfamiliar pup trotted right up to their front porch to welcome them. The visitor, whom they soon learned was their next-door neighbor Pita, sauntered inside to say hello to Nicole's dog, Fia. The two furry strangers formed an instant bond from the moment they met.
As reported by The Dodo, Pita quickly decided that playdates couldn't just happen on a schedule. Whenever she went on walks with her dad or slipped out into the yard, she began marching straight to Nicole’s front door and tapping on it with her paws until she was let inside to romp with Fia.
It was not long before Pita's signature move spread throughout the neighborhood. She taught the other local dogs how to knock and trigger the doorbell too, turning Nicole’s house into the ultimate canine clubhouse. Thanks to one friendly pup taking the initiative to welcome her new neighbors, an entire community of pets and owners became lifelong friends.
