Joey Wheeler takes center stage as Beyond the Brave hits Official Tournament Stores and retail shelves this October.
Beyond the Brave is a 100-card Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG booster set that reimagines Joey Wheeler's bravest Duels, with Destiny HERO, Atlantis/Umi, Ashtra, and world-premiere support — OTS launch October 7, retail and tournament legal October 9, 2026.
Konami's official product page confirms Beyond the Brave is now rolling out. The set is built around Joey Wheeler's risk-it-all playstyle and the new Dark Time Wizard Quick-Play Spell, plus fresh support for several returning themes.
Per Konami:
Rarity breakdown listed by Konami: 10 Secret Rares, 14 Ultra Rares, 26 Super Rares, and 50 Commons, with extended-art Ultra and Starlight options on select cards.
Joey's new cards revolve around Dark Time Wizard. Players choose one of two effects when activating it: a safer search that adds another Dark Time Wizard-mentioning card from Deck to hand (with an End Phase rewind that returns Dark Time Wizard from the Graveyard to hand), or a coin-toss gamble that can wipe the opponent's monsters and burn for half their combined original ATK — or backfire and destroy your own monsters instead.
If monsters are destroyed by Dark Time Wizard, you can Tribute a monster from either field to Special Summon the new Red-Eyes Black Dragon Exceed Fusion Monster from the Extra Deck.
Beyond the Brave also brings reimagined Destiny HERO support for Aster Phoenix fans, an Atlantis / Daedalus / Umi package centered on Field Spell Atlantis, City of the Sea Dragon, and the Trap-heavy Ashtra theme that Summons monsters by showing a face-down card.
World premiere Audhumla, Progenitor of the Frozen Expanse arrives with an extended-art version and Trap-friendly utility, alongside other fill-in support for existing Decks such as Endymion, Clown Crew, and Predaplant.
Premiere weekends and day-one openings lit up X with pack cracks, Premier results, and Joey nostalgia — from hype screams to players still buying boxes while wishing for more classic retrains. Real posts from @JadeieFlash751, @Manjomesan_da, @BrotherKDG, and @WilAyeBoy:
