A separate report described a short video found in Apple software that appears to demonstrate Visual Intelligence on camera-equipped AirPods. Those are related pieces of evidence, but they answer different questions: one concerns reported launch timing, while the other concerns what Apple may be testing.

The video’s presence does not establish that Apple plans to sell the exact hardware shown. Companies routinely test products, interfaces, and concepts that never reach consumers. Even if the demonstration is genuine, Apple could change the design, move the feature to another product, or delay the project again.

Camera-equipped earbuds would also create privacy questions that ordinary AirPods do not. A camera placed near a person’s face could capture surroundings without the obvious framing of a phone or the visible display of smart glasses.
