Apple opened App Store Connect submissions for apps built with the Xcode 27 Release Candidate and the OS 27 SDKs, ahead of the September 14 public launches. macOS 27 is Apple silicon–only, and April 2027 brings new minimum SDK rules.
Apple has opened App Store submissions for apps and games built for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, tvOS 27, visionOS 27, and watchOS 27 — the final developer gate before Monday’s public software rollout.
In a Developer news post, Apple says developers can download the Xcode 27 Release Candidate, build with the latest SDKs, test in TestFlight, and submit for App Review. The company frames the window as the moment to ship updates that take advantage of Apple Intelligence, the Foundation Models framework, design refreshes, and new App Store creative features.
Apple reiterated that macOS 26 is the last release supporting Intel Macs and Rosetta. macOS 27 will be Apple silicon only. Developers who want to limit distribution to Apple silicon Macs should set the Xcode build architecture to arm64 only, then rebuild and resubmit.
That reminder lands alongside the iOS 27 / companion OS launch on September 14 and our earlier watchOS 27 release notes rundown.
Apple also reconfirmed minimum upload requirements starting April 2027:
With iPhone Duo developer resources already live and OS 27 shipping Monday, this is the practical “submit now so you’re ready day one” window for App Store updates — not another hardware rumor, but a clear utility beat for anyone shipping on Apple platforms.
