MacRumors confirms Series 12 and Ultra 4 list 4GB of RAM in Xcode 27 — double Series 11 / Ultra 3 — while U.S. starting prices stay $399 / $799.
MacRumors reports that Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 show 4GB of RAM in Xcode 27 device definitions — double the 2GB on Series 11 and Ultra 3.
Apple does not publish Watch RAM on consumer spec sheets, so this is the same Xcode-readout method used for other memory confirms. Treat the figure as reported via developer tooling, not a Newsroom claim.
Both watches ship with the new S11 chip and Apple Intelligence features such as Live Rewind and Siri Recap when paired to a supported iPhone. Extra RAM is the quiet hardware backing those on-wrist AI workloads — not a marketing bullet from Surprise and Shine.
Despite the industry DRAM crunch that pushed iPhone 16 / 17 / Air prices up, Series 12 still starts at $399 and Ultra 4 at $799 in the U.S. — unchanged vs the prior generation, even with twice the memory.
Pre-order is open; availability is Friday, September 18. For finishes and bands, see our ceramic and band lineup follow-up.
