Apple’s new support pages confirm future usage limits on Siri AI and other cloud Apple Intelligence features, with paid increased access and iCloud+ camera caps for Home video summaries.
Apple published a new support document that clarifies how Apple Intelligence and Siri AI will be rate-limited — and that paid “increased access” is coming. That is a software/money delta separate from the iOS 27 September 14 launch timeline.
In Learn about Apple Intelligence usage limits, Apple lists features that rely on powerful server-side models and may be subject to usage limits:
Apple says it will implement limits on these and other Apple Intelligence / Siri AI features “in the future.” If you hit a limit on a feature, that feature becomes unavailable for a timeout period before access returns. Limits can vary by feature, request complexity, system demand, and other factors.
The same page states: “Increased access to such features will be available for a fee.” Apple does not publish dollar amounts or exact quotas yet.
Home app Apple Intelligence features such as video summaries are capped by iCloud+ plan:
Supported camera counts “may change over time.”
A companion Apple Intelligence Usage Terms page covers unreasonable / abusive use, availability, device requirements, age restrictions, and enforcement. Use of Apple Intelligence and Siri AI remains subject to those terms at all times.
Shoppers evaluating iPhone 18 Pro or waiting on Siri AI’s English-first rollout now have official confirmation that heavy cloud AI use will not be unlimited forever — and that Apple plans a paid path for higher access.
