Beats 360 firmware update points to a September announce window
Apple pushed firmware 4A203 for unreleased Beats 360 over-ears. MacRumors reads that as a September announce signal, building on FCC/retail leaks — still unconfirmed by Apple.
Apple has released firmware 4A203 for its still-unannounced Beats 360 over-ear headphones, MacRumors reports. The outlet reads the update as a launch-prep signal and says an official announce sometime in September now looks likely.
Beats 360 has not been confirmed by Apple. The product has already shown up across regulatory databases (including model A3577), athlete teasers around the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and now-removed retail listings that MacRumors and others previously documented.
What the listings claimed
Reporting based on those earlier listings describes Beats 360 as a lifestyle-oriented over-ear set with design cues closer to AirPods Max than to Beats Studio Pro — including telescoping headband arms and mesh-style cups. Claimed highlights from the listings include:
- Interchangeable Performance Knit and UltraPlush cushions/headbands, with color names such as Black, Cloud, Sky, and Pink (plus Volt/Navy cushion options in some listings)
- Active noise cancellation marketed as up to 1.75× stronger than Beats Studio Pro
- IPX4 sweat/water resistance — framed as Apple’s first IPX4 over-ear headphones
- Fold-flat carry design, all-day battery claims, and a woven ripstop case
- Hands-free Siri support, per code noted by MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris
One listing put U.S. pricing at $299.99. That figure is and should be treated as a retailer leak, not an Apple price.
