Firefighters Sent to Save Trapped 'Ducklings' Find a Sweet Dog in a Dumpster Instead

Every emergency call brings a degree of uncertainty, but when Miami-Dade Fire Rescue’s Engine 48 responded to a report of “ducklings trapped in a garbage bin,” the crew had no idea what was actually awaiting them. Peering inside the sweltering dumpster, they were shocked to see that there were no ducklings in sight. Instead, a black Lab mix was curled up in the trash, panting under the scorching Florida sun.
The firefighters gently approached the pup, earning his trust before checking him over for injuries. Fortunately, he was completely unhurt, though he lacked any tags, microchip information, or clues about where he had come from. Knowing they couldn't leave him behind, the crew scooped him up and brought him back to the station, as reported by The Dodo.
