Friendly Neighbor Dog Knocks on Door Every Day to Ask for Playdates
When Nicole moved to a new house, neighbor dog Pita knocked on her door to say hello—and taught the whole neighborhood to do the same.
When Nicole and her husband moved into a new neighborhood with their dog, Fia, they were completely new to the area. Before they even had a chance to unpack, a friendly dog named Pita ran right up to their front door to welcome them. They let her inside, and Pita immediately greeted Fia face-to-face as if they had known each other forever.
The two pups clicked instantly, and Pita soon made visiting a daily ritual. Living right next door, Pita would walk up to Nicole’s front door during her daily walks and physically knock on it with her paws to request a playdate.
Whenever Pita left, Fia would eagerly sit by the window watching for her return. But Pita wasn't content keeping the fun to herself—she began teaching other neighborhood dogs how to trigger the doorbell and knock on Nicole's door as well.
Now, Nicole's home has become the official spot for community dog block parties. Thanks to Pita acting as the ultimate social director, all the local pups—and their humans—have formed a tight-knit neighborhood family.
