Woman Refuses to Give Up on Paralyzed Puppy Vets Said Could Never Be Saved

Before he was even a month old, a tiny puppy suffered unimaginable trauma. Struck by a blunt object, his spine was severely fractured, leaving his back legs completely paralyzed. When his rescuer rushed him to the veterinary clinic, doctors bluntly told her there was no hope and that treatment would be pointless. To keep his muscles from atrophying, she bathed him in warm water, gently stretched his legs, and took him outdoors by holding up his hindquarters so he could pull himself forward on his strong front paws.
As the puppy grew bigger and heavier, carrying him became increasingly difficult, and follow-up consultations still yielded heartbreaking prognoses. Everything changed, however, when a vet recommended trying a specialized canine wheelchair.
