Just two months after leaving the pavement behind, Brave reached a milestone that can sometimes be daunting for newly rescued street dogs: his very first bath in a real home.

To make sure the experience was filled with positive associations, Corbett used one of the oldest foster tricks in the book: a wall-mounted peanut butter lick distraction. With delicious snacks keeping his attention engaged, Brave stood calmly in the white porcelain tub, contentedly licking away while his foster dad gently washed away weeks of city dust.

The best part of bath day, however, began the second the towels came out.

Once thoroughly dried off, Brave didn’t stage the usual post-bath zoomies. Instead, he made a beeline for his prized possessions. Under his foster dad’s proud house motto — “Rule 1: You can never have enough stuffies” — Brave began carefully collecting every plush friend he owned.
