Leica firmware 2.6.4 for the M11 family adds an official Summicron-M 66 f/2 lens profile. Downloads are live for M11, M11-P, M11 Monochrom, M11-D, and M EV1.
Leica has released firmware update 2.6.4 for the M11 family, adding an official lens profile for the new Summicron-M 66 f/2 Classic Line lens.
According to Leica’s M-family release notes, the sole “NEW” item in 2.6.4 is:
- Lens Profile: Summicron-M 66 f/2
The notes cover the Leica M11, M11-P, M11 Monochrom, M11-D, and M EV1. Owners can install the update through the Leica FOTOS app or from the camera menu (Camera Information → Camera Firmware Version → Firmware Update). Model-specific firmware packages are listed on each camera’s downloads page on leica-camera.com; Leica also recommends UHS-II SD cards for best performance.
The Summicron-M 66 f/2 launched on September 3, 2026 as a 660-unit limited Classic Line reinterpretation of the rare Elcan 66 mm f/2. Firmware 2.6.4 is the practical follow-up for M11-series shooters who want the new optic recognized correctly for EXIF, in-camera corrections, and related lens-profile behavior.
