Sigma Adds 85mm F1.2 Art and 20-60 Contemporary Lenses for L-Mount
Sigma has announced L-Mount (and E-mount) versions of the 85mm F1.2 DG Art ($1,599) and 20-60mm F2.8-4 Contemporary ($849), both due from US dealers on October 6, 2026.
Sigma has announced two full-frame L-Mount lenses: the 85mm F1.2 DG | Art and the 20-60mm F2.8-4 DG | Contemporary. Both also ship in Sony E-mount. For Leica SL and other L-Mount shooters, that means new native Alliance glass — a fast portrait Art prime that completes Sigma’s F1.2 trio, plus a compact ultra-wide-to-standard Contemporary zoom.
According to Sigma America’s press releases dated 8 September 2026, both lenses go on sale from authorized US dealers beginning 6 October 2026. US retail prices are $1,599 for the 85mm Art and $849 for the 20-60 Contemporary. Regional pricing outside the US is not stated in those notices.
85mm F1.2 DG | Art
Sigma positions the 85mm as its third F1.2 mirrorless Art prime, joining the 35mm F1.2 DG II | Art and 50mm F1.2 DG DN | Art. The company says the lens uses dual HLA autofocus, a 13-blade diaphragm, and a floating focus design, and claims it is the smallest and lightest AF 85mm F1.2 for full-frame mirrorless as of September 2026, at 905g in L-Mount. Features listed for professional use include an aperture ring with lock and click switches, dual AFL buttons, dust- and splash-resistant structure, and a water- and oil-repellent front coating.
A February 2026 development announcement had already named L-Mount and E-mount with a September launch window; today’s US notice locks the commercial date and price. Product page: sigma-global.com/en/lenses/a026_85_12.
