Greg Joswiak's teaser and Tribeca media invites lock in Tuesday's smart home debut, with a refreshed HomePod mini and Apple TV 4K expected alongside the hub.
Apple has locked in Tuesday, October 13 for its next product drop. Marketing chief Greg Joswiak posted a short "Welcome home." teaser on October 8, and media invites for an "Apple Experience" in Tribeca, New York, at 9:00 a.m. ET went out the same day. That turns weeks of timing chatter into a confirmed date for Apple's smart home push.
This is not framed as a classic Apple Park keynote. Coverage from MacRumors, 9to5Mac, and AppleInsider points to a hands-on experience for invited press in New York, with product pages or a shorter online presentation expected for everyone else around the same window.
Apple has not named the hardware in the teaser, but reporting around the invite consistently points to three first-party devices:
Those expectations match the lineup laid out in MacRumors' October 13 preview and earlier Gurman reporting. Pricing for the hub has been floated around $350, but nothing is official until next week.
The "Welcome home" date also lines up with Apple's LG-codeveloped doorbell, cameras, lock, and thermostat work, plus the iOS 27.2 second-party table that also names Schneider climate accessories. Apple may show that program next week even if the accessories themselves are still months from shelves.
A separate Mac and OLED iPad mini wave is still expected later in October, around October 27, and is not part of Tuesday's home-focused confirmation.
