Apple’s published EU energy label for iPhone Duo lists a rated battery capacity of 4,883 mAh, matching an earlier dual-cell leak and applying worldwide on the eSIM-only foldable.
Apple has published an EU energy label for iPhone Duo that lists a rated battery capacity of 4,883 mAh, MacRumors reports (Joe Rossignol, October 18, 2026).
The figure is documented on Apple’s EU product information sheet for model A3720 (EPREL registration 2774825), not a rumor. A German carrier product sheet mirroring that label also shows 4,883 mAh under rated battery capacity, alongside energy-efficiency class A.
MacRumors notes the document appears to confirm an earlier leak that put Duo at dual cells of 2,962 mAh and 1,921 mAh, which add up to 4,883 mAh. Apple’s own technical specifications describe dual built-in rechargeable lithium-ion batteries operating as one system, without publishing a milliamp-hour total on the public specs page.
Because Duo is eSIM-only worldwide, MacRumors says this capacity figure should apply globally: there is no physical-SIM tray variant that would trade a little battery for a SIM slot.
For comparison, MacRumors cites iFixit teardown figures of 4,288 mAh for the eSIM-only iPhone 18 Pro and 5,567 mAh for the eSIM-only iPhone 18 Pro Max. We have not independently re-measured those cells; the comparison is attributed to MacRumors/iFixit.
On paper, Duo sits between the two Pro models by capacity, closer to the Pro than the Pro Max, while folding two displays and a hinge into one chassis. Real-world endurance still depends on which screen you use and how you charge; Apple’s marketing battery claims remain separate from the EU rated-capacity number.
The capacity readout arrives while Duo pre-orders are already stretching into 2027 for many buyers. See our notes on Gurman’s "major mistake" supply critique and Apple’s "extraordinary" demand framing.
