Unconfirmed Geekbench 6 listings for iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max show early A20 Pro CPU scores around 4,720 single-core and 12,600 multi-core—roughly 22–28% above A19 Pro—plus Metal gains near Apple’s 40% GPU claim.
Early, unconfirmed Geekbench 6 listings for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max appeared in the public database Thursday morning Pacific, giving the first third-party look at A20 Pro CPU and Metal performance ahead of Saturday’s pre-orders.
MacRumors reports the entries—and we’re treating them as early / unverified until more samples land and independent labs re-run them.
Early CPU numbers

GPU / Metal
Early Geekbench 6 Metal compute scores for the 7-core A20 Pro GPU are reported around 38–40% faster than the A19 Pro’s 6-core GPU—broadly in line with Apple’s product-page claim of up to 40% faster graphics and up to 20% faster CPU versus A19 Pro.
What Apple already claimed
Apple says A20 Pro is built on a 2-nanometer process, adds integrated Neural Accelerators, cites 50% more memory bandwidth, and pairs new chip packaging with a larger vapor chamber for up to 40% better sustained performance. Separately, Xcode device definitions list 12GB RAM on both Pro models.
Caveats
These are one-off database entries, not a full review suite. They don’t prove sustained gaming thermals, and scores can be faked or throttled. Treat the percentages as directional until shipping units are retested.
