Apple has officially announced iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at today’s Surprise and Shine keynote — John Ternus’s first major iPhone launch as CEO.

What’s new
- A20 Pro (2 nm): 6-core CPU with new super cores, 7-core GPU (Apple cites up to about 40% graphics gain), dual Neural Engines totaling 32 cores, and roughly 50% more memory bandwidth
- Next-generation vapor chamber for higher sustained performance
- 48MP Fusion Main with variable aperture, Pro controls, smarter focus tracking, richer Photographic Styles, and Apple Reference Image authenticity tooling
- Smaller Dynamic Island that can show three Live Activities at once — confirming the Gurman preview
- Colors include Black, Silver, Glacier, and Burgundy
Price and availability
iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199. iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at $1,299. Both add a 2TB option.
Pre-orders open Saturday, September 12. Availability begins Friday, September 18 — matching the pre-order timeline outlets mapped ahead of the event.
