iPhone 18 Pro is eSIM-only in 12 markets; iPhone Duo is eSIM-only worldwide

iPhone 18 Pro / Pro Max: eSIM-only in 12 markets
In the iPhone 18 Pro Newsroom debut, Apple says eSIM-only models of iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will be available in:

- Canada
- Guam
- Japan
- Kuwait
- Mexico
- Oman
- Qatar
- Saudi Arabia
- UAE
- United States
- U.S. Virgin Islands
Apple adds that those eSIM-only units use the space formerly occupied by the physical SIM for an even larger battery, claiming two additional hours of video playback versus tray models. That is the same country set MacRumors reported as unchanged versus last year’s Pro eSIM-only footprint.
Elsewhere (including the U.K./Europe, Australia, and many other regions), Pro models still ship with a , per Apple’s regional product pages and secondary reporting. China’s multi-SIM combinations remain a separate local configuration story.
