U.S. buyers of covered iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 models (June 10, 2024–March 29, 2025) can file at smartphoneaisettlement.com from Sep 21–Dec 21, 2026. Apple denies the claims; payments await 2027 final approval.

The official Smartphone AI Settlement website is live, and eligible U.S. iPhone buyers can start submitting claims today, September 21, 2026, through December 21, 2026. MacRumors (Joe Rossignol, September 20) reports the claims window opening against Apple’s $250 million settlement over delayed personalized Siri / Apple Intelligence advertising.

Apple denies the allegations. Per MacRumors and settlement summaries, the company settled to avoid the costs and risks of a trial and has said it wanted to stay focused on shipping products and services. Payment amounts below are settlement terms / estimates — not a guaranteed check tomorrow.

Who is eligible

Per MacRumors and settlement reporting, you generally need to:

Reside in the U.S.
Have purchased in the U.S. (for personal or business use, not for resale)
Between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025

How much — and when you might get paid

Estimated ~$25 per eligible device, with the per-device amount able to rise up to $95 if claim volume is lower than anticipated (or adjust the other way if claims are high). Final figures depend on valid claims, fees, and court approvals.

A final approval hearing is set for February 24, 2027. MacRumors says payments are not expected until sometime after that hearing — not during the claims window itself.

What the claim form asks for

MacRumors reports the online form asks for personal details plus the eligible iPhone’s serial number (Settings → General → About, or the box / receipt). If you do not have the serial number, the form path asks for your Apple Account email and the phone number linked to that iPhone.

Why Apple was sued (short version)

Apple previewed personalized Siri features powered by Apple Intelligence at WWDC 2024 and promoted them around the iPhone 16 era; after Apple delayed the personalized Siri experience in March 2025, a U.S. class action alleged false advertising.
