Amazon Driver Spots Laundry Basket in Park and Discovers Abandoned Dog Inside
Despite a busy shift ahead, the driver stopped to help an injured, matted senior pup left behind in the grass.
While driving through a park in Los Angeles County, California, an Amazon delivery driver noticed an out-of-place white laundry basket resting on the ground. When they stopped to investigate, they were stunned to discover a motionless, matted ball of fur huddled at the bottom on top of old newspapers—and saw that the tiny creature was still breathing. Though a long route of deliveries awaited them, the driver immediately reached out to local rescue organization Logan’s Legacy 29 for help.
Volunteer Rosario Ortiz rushed to the park to safely transport the terrified dog to Camino Pet Hospital. The sweet senior pup, named Solene, was estimated to be around 7 or 8 years old. Instead of showing the energetic pep typical for her age, Solene could barely move, and X-rays quickly revealed that she was suffering from a broken leg, as reported by The Dodo.
