Loyal Dog Shields Her Tiny Brother in the Middle of Busy Traffic Until Help Arrives
When cars swerved on a busy California road, a protective shepherd mix refused to leave her five-pound brother's side.
Rescuers Suzette Hall and Rosario Ortiz of Logan’s Legacy 29 were driving down a busy road in Los Angeles County, California, when traffic suddenly slowed to a crawl. Up ahead, they spotted a heartbreaking sight: two dogs huddled on the centerline while drivers swerved around them. The larger pup, a shepherd mix named Nova, had wrapped her body completely around her tiny, five-pound curly-haired brother, Benji, refusing to leave him exposed to danger.
Without hesitation, Hall and Ortiz stopped traffic to guide the frightened pair safely into a nearby yard. Nova proved to be fiercely protective throughout the entire rescue, keeping her eyes locked onto Benji and standing guard by his crate until she was coaxed into safety as well.
