- Book-style foldable with a 7.6-inch Super Retina XDR inner display and a 5.4-inch outer display; Apple emphasizes a nano-texture finish meant to keep the crease less noticeable
- Grade 5 titanium in Star White and Night Sky
- Touch ID in the side button (multi-finger enrollment); unlock with Apple Watch is also supported
- A20 Pro with a display engine that drives both panels, plus the C2 modem
- Dual-battery design: Apple cites up to about 31 hours of video on the inner display and longer outer-display playback in its event framing
- Rear 48MP Fusion Main and 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide; outer 12MP Center Stage front camera; under-display FaceTime camera on the inner panel
- Split View multitasking, pose-aware iOS layouts, and reworked StandBy for the foldable form
- Apple Pencil support is coming later this year
