When a clever rescue pup smelled snacks in the break room, she unlatched the gate and led an entire pack on a joyful escape.
There is never a dull moment at Hounds Hideaway, a pet resort in Arkansas, especially when a mischievous pup named Chloe Joy (CJ) is in the building. In her seven years attending daycare, the rescued hound has earned quite a reputation as a clever troublemaker. But when staff members briefly stepped to the front of the facility, CJ pulled off her most brazen stunt yet: a full-blown jailbreak captured on security cameras.
Known for having a sharp nose and the long legs to back it up, CJ caught a whiff of food coming from the staff break room and decided to investigate. Standing tall on her hind legs, she used her nose to push the gate latch up and swung the door open, leading a galloping herd of doggy friends right behind her, as reported by The Dodo.
Fortunately, the building remained entirely secure, so none of the adventurers were in any danger of getting outside. When caregivers dashed back to round up the runaway pack, they already had a strong hunch who was behind the commotion. Security footage quickly confirmed their suspicions. While CJ's mom jokingly wondered why her dog is always the ringleader, the staff admits they adore their resident escape artist and all the laughter she brings.
