Neighbors Thought Woman Was Carrying a Deer Antler Until They Saw Her Dog's Dramatic Protest
Whenever it was time to end their stroll, this stubborn pup melted into a limp, dangling noodle to avoid walking home.
Strolling through a residential courtyard, neighbors repeatedly stopped in their tracks at a truly bizarre sight: a woman casually holding a long, fuzzy brown shape that dangled completely motionless from her hand. With all four paws limp and its spine hanging like a relaxed ragdoll, onlookers couldn't tell if she was hauling a piece of velvet deer antler, a shank of cured meat, or some unusual hunting prize. Only upon approaching did they realize the boneless-looking shape was actually a very committed canine staging a dramatic silent protest.
As reported by udn Pets, the pup had perfected his anti-walk-ending routine down to a science. The very second his human announced it was time to head back inside, he would instantly flop flat against the pavement in total "play dead" mode. Deadweight and completely unresponsive to coaxing, he simply refused to budge an inch under his own power.
Left with no other way to get moving, his owner calmly scooped him up around the waist and carried him across the courtyard like a rolled-up fleece blanket. The pup never broke character, letting his limbs sway limply with each step she took. Yet the moment her feet crossed the threshold and she placed him back on the floor, the furry actor sprang right back to life as if the whole performance had never happened.
