For her devoted pet parent, Michelle Grady, winning top honors on their fourth year competing was a milestone filled with pride and laughter. Rescued four years ago through a pug rescue organization, Jinny Lu quickly transformed into a beloved whirlwind of joyful mischief at home. Grady shared that her pup is a natural social butterfly who adores greeting crowds and soaking up affection, as reported by SETN. Jinny Lu took the title in a field of charming contenders, edging out second-place Pinky, a Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix, and third-place Otto, a Chihuahua mix, while following in the footsteps of Petunia, a former puppy mill rescue bulldog who won previously.
Along with a $5,000 cash prize, Jinny Lu earned a featured spot on a limited-edition can of MUG Root Beer. Over its five-decade history, the beloved competition has grown from a quirky local tradition into a global platform championing animal rescue, empathy, and acceptance.
