Rescuer Saves Neglected Stray Feared by Locals as a 'Werewolf'

In Mexico, dedicated animal rescuer Zadrigman is accustomed to helping dogs in distress, but reports of a supposed "werewolf" wandering a neighboring town stopped him in his tracks. When he arrived, he found a painfully neglected stray dog with piercing, icy blue eyes. Severe mange had left her skin dry, cracked, and completely bald except for a shaggy strip of fur along her back. Terrified and aching, she flinched and bolted every time he tried to approach.

Patiently trailing her with handfuls of kibble, Zadrigman spoke softly until the starving pup—whom he named Bombón—finally realized he was there to help, as reported by The Dodo. Once she ate from his bowl, he gently lifted her into his car and rushed her to a veterinary clinic for essential fluids and soothing topical treatments.
