Rescuer Tears Open Tightly Tied Cloth Bag and Discovers a Terrified Senior Dog Inside
Alexandra Sava rushed to create an air hole before carrying the confused 9-year-old pup indoors to safety.
Alexandra Sava, founder of Romanian rescue Sava’s Safe Haven, was busy cleaning kennels when barking drew her attention to a car pulling up outside. The visitors explained that a family member had recently passed away, leaving behind a dog they couldn't keep. To Sava's shock, they pointed her toward a tightly tied white cloth bag.
Knowing time was of the essence, Sava's first instinct was ensuring the animal could breathe. “I made a little hole for the dog to breathe,” Sava told The Dodo. She quickly brought the bundle into a secure room indoors before untying it, explaining, “I entered the shelter because I was afraid to fully open the bag outside because the dog was traumatized, so I didn’t want to risk the dog escaping.” Once released, the stunned pup was so frightened and confused that she hardly moved.
