Apple seeded iOS 27.2 developer beta 2 on Monday, along with matching 27.2 betas across other platforms. iOS 27.1 remains held for the iPhone Duo.
Apple on Monday seeded the second developer beta of iOS 27.2 to registered developers, about a week after the first 27.2 build, MacRumors reports (Juli Clover, ~10:21 a.m. PDT). 9to5Mac and AppleInsider also confirmed the seed.
AppleInsider reports Apple also seeded second developer betas for:
iOS / iPadOS 27.2 beta 2 replaces 24B5084k, per AppleInsider’s build list.
Apple is still holding iOS 27.1 for the iPhone Duo. MacRumors says Apple plans to ship the Duo with iOS 27.1 and is likely keeping that release under wraps until closer to the foldable’s launch (reported Friday, October 23). Duo-focused work includes dual-display layouts, a vertical dock and Dynamic Island, side-by-side multitasking, and Camera features built for two screens.
For everyone else on non-Duo iPhones, 27.2 is the next point release after the public iOS 27 launch.
Treat these as carried from the first 27.2 developer beta, not proven beta-2 exclusives. 9to5Mac says a separate roundup will cover anything newly found in beta 2.

MacRumors notes that because 27.2 includes new Siri AI languages, that release is also expected sometime in October — separate from the Duo-tied 27.1 schedule.
Registered Apple Developer Program members can opt in under Settings → General → Software Update and select the iOS 27 developer beta, then install the new build when it appears. Use a secondary device when possible; early point-release betas can still break daily drivers (and recent Face ID freeze/reboot reports are a reminder that even shipping software can surprise).
Public beta availability was not confirmed in Monday’s seed coverage — stick to the developer channel unless Apple announces otherwise.
