Apple has seeded iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2 beta 1 to developers about two days after the iOS 27 public launch — skipping ahead of Duo-focused iOS 27.1 for now. A companion macOS Golden Gate 27.2 beta also landed.

Apple has seeded the first iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2 developer betas to registered developers, according to MacRumors and 9to5Mac. The seed arrives about two days after the public iOS 27 and companion OS launch on September 14.

This is a developer beta, not a public release. Developers opt in under Settings → General → Software Update and select the iOS 27 developer beta track.
