MacRumors says non-preorder U.S. buyers face 2–3 week (Pro) / 3–4 week (Pro Max) ship waits — but same-day Apple Store pickup is available in many regions on launch day.
Missed the iPhone 18 Pro pre-order window? Launch day still leaves a path — especially if you can pick up in store.
According to MacRumors’ Tim Hardwick, customers who did not pre-order are now looking at longer online shipping waits in the U.S., while same-day Apple Store pickup remains available in many regions. That is a different reader job from today’s first-arrivals coverage, which tracked early Oceania deliveries and worldwide open-sale timing.
MacRumors reports:
Hardwick notes that demand looks less intense for the smaller Pro than for Pro Max — but neither is next-day ship for non-preorder buyers as of his Friday check.
Important caveat for North America: as of writing, Apple’s U.S. and Canada online stores had not yet been updated to show pickup availability in the UI, though MacRumors still flags that some configurations may be short and that availability can vary by state or region.
Outside the U.S./Canada UI lag, MacRumors says same-day pickup is already an option in many places:

iPhone 18 Pro models may be available for walk-in customers at stores with enough inventory, MacRumors says — but availability can’t be guaranteed. Walk-ins may also be placed in a separate, lower-priority queue once they arrive.
If you already pre-ordered, stick with your delivery tracking or reserved pickup window. If you are still deciding on specs or colors, the announce overview remains the cleanest specs/pricing reference (Pro from $1,199, Pro Max from $1,299).
