Leica LUX 2.0, silver grip, and Steve McCurry Artist Look for iPhone

Leica announces LUX 2.0, a silver LUX grip (€300), iPhone 18 Pro leather cases (€95), and a Steve McCurry Artist Look — with German App Store PRO pricing that may vary by region.
Leica Camera AG has expanded its iPhone photography ecosystem with Leica LUX 2.0, a silver Leica LUX grip, matching leather LUX cases for the iPhone 18 Pro series, and a new Artist Look by Steve McCurry — announced from Wetzlar on September 24, 2026.
Leica LUX 2.0
Leica calls LUX 2.0 the most comprehensive update to the Leica LUX camera app yet. Headline changes:
- A gallery interface shared with the Leica FOTOS App (same operating logic across Leica’s mobile apps)
- A redesigned UI with subtle Apple Liquid Glass-inspired elements, while keeping familiar photo controls
- Alternative app icons inspired by legendary Leica cameras
- iPhone 18 Pro / iPhone 18 Pro Max support and further camera-stack optimisations
- New gallery tools: filmstrip selection from detail view, multi-select in grid view, and direct launch of Adobe Lightroom, Capture One, and Darkroom
According to Leica, McCurry’s Artist Look and iPhone 18 Pro series support are available in LUX from September 24. The fuller 2.0 UI package (shared gallery, revamped interface, alternative icons) lands on the Apple App Store in early October.

The shared gallery, the new user interface and Steve McCurry’s Artist Look offer photographers new ways to develop their own visual language using an iPhone. Artist Look by Steve McCurry
The McCurry Look is the second Artist Look in Leica’s series after Greg Williams. It is included in Leica LUX PRO, and Leica says it is also available for the Leica Q3 and Leica SL3 via the Leica FOTOS app.
Leica positions the Look as a colour-and-light starting point rather than an automatic “McCurry filter” — emphasising palette, subject, light, and composition over a single baked-in effect.
Silver Leica LUX grip
The LUX grip now ships in a silver finish alongside the existing black version. Specs are unchanged from the prior grip:
- MagSafe attach + Bluetooth control integration with the LUX app
- Mechanical two-stage shutter, setting dial, and two customisable Fn buttons
- Battery rated for up to about 1,000 shots; recharge via USB-C
- Compatible with iPhone 12 and later
RRP: €300 including VAT, with one year of Leica LUX PRO included. Available from September 24, 2026 at Leica Stores, the Leica Online Store, and authorised retailers.
Leather LUX cases for iPhone 18 Pro
New black-leather Leica LUX cases are sized for iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, with red microfibre interiors and MagSafe. Leica highlights an integrated Camera Control button and a closed construction — replacing the earlier open cut-out around the camera button — and says the cases are designed to pair with the LUX grip.
RRP: €95 each including VAT, also available from September 24.
