Siri AI at the core
Siri AI is expected to sit at the center of the new platform. Rumored roles include HomeKit accessory management, home security monitoring, FaceTime, photo galleries, calendar, and music playback — the same “home hub” job family already sketched for the hardware.
Preinstalled Apple apps reportedly in play for the platform include Calendar, Camera, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple News, Reminders, Notes, and an all-new Siri app aimed at Siri AI conversations. The platform is also said to support multi-user households — a must-have for a shared kitchen or hallway screen.
