Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says Apple is planning a higher-end HomeView with a 9-inch screen on a robotic arm that swivels 360°, possibly in 2027 or 2028. Speculative names like HomeView Max are not confirmed.
Apple is planning a higher-end version of its new HomeView smart home hub with a larger 9-inch screen that can swivel a full 360 degrees on a robotic arm, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, MacRumors reports (Joe Rossignol, October 18, 2026). Gurman expects the device in 2027 or 2028.
This is a reported roadmap claim, not an Apple announcement. Timing and final design can still change.
Gurman floated names such as HomeView Max, HomeView Ultra, or HomeView 360, MacRumors notes. Those labels are speculative for now; Apple has not confirmed any of them as product names.
The current tabletop HomeView uses a fixed 7-inch screen. A larger panel on a motorized arm that can turn a full circle would be a clear step up from the first-wave hardware Apple is shipping now, including the wall-mounted HomeView kit that arrives without adapter, cable, or mount in the box.
First-generation HomeView is already in market motion: online pre-order windows have slipped, and Apple has published out-of-warranty repair pricing. Gurman’s latest note is about a later, higher-tier product rather than another recirculation of the October launch lineup.
