Apple has paused development on a camera-equipped AI wearable roughly the size of an AirTag, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman — a pin or pendant that could clip to clothing or hang around the neck.

- Not a Humane clone: Earlier Gurman reporting said it would not include a display or projector; wear options were clip or necklace.
- Open debate: Whether to add a speaker for direct back-and-forth talk without pulling out the phone or wearing AirPods.
Why the pause matters
Rumors had pointed to a possible 2027 introduction. With development postponed, that window looks unlikely. Apple is still described as working on other wearables — including a screen-free fitness band, AI smart glasses, and camera-equipped AirPods — so the pin pause is a priority shuffle, not a full exit from wearable AI cameras.
