Apple's October 13 Welcome Home event landed HomeView, HomePod mini 2, and a fourth-generation Apple TV 4K, with pre-orders open now.
Apple used its October 13 Welcome Home event to unveil three first-party devices: Apple HomeView, HomePod mini 2, and a fourth-generation Apple TV 4K. Pre-orders are open today in the United States and other launch markets, with ship dates staggered through late October and mid-November.
The lineup largely tracks Mark Gurman's mid-November HomeView timing, though Apple named the display HomeView rather than HomePad and set Apple TV availability for November 13 alongside HomeView, not October 30.
Apple Newsroom introduces HomeView as a 7-inch Liquid Retina smart display built around Siri AI and Apple Intelligence. The tabletop model connects the screen to a domed speaker base with a stainless steel hinge for tilt. Colors are silver, starlight, rose pink, and space gray. A wall-mounted model in space gray and silver uses Schneider Home mounts.
Key details from Apple:
HomeView is not for sale in the European Union while Siri AI remains unavailable in iOS there.
HomePod mini 2 keeps the familiar compact shape and adds the Apple S10 chip for real-time computational audio. Sound Glow turns the top into a light canvas that pulses with music and album artwork. Colors are pink, green, blue, white, and midnight.
Paired with the new Apple TV 4K, up to four HomePod mini 2 speakers (or matching HomePod 2nd generation pairs) can form a calibrated four-speaker surround setup. Siri AI arrives later via a free software update; voice recognition covers up to six household users when paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad.
The new Apple TV 4K runs on the A19 chip, adds three far-field microphones for hands-free Siri, and ships as a single 128GB configuration with Wi-Fi 7, Gigabit Ethernet, Thread, and Matter hub support. U.S. pricing is $299, a sharp jump from the prior generation's dual SKUs most recently at $199 and $249, as MacRumors notes.
The updated Siri Remote adds Find My with Precision Finding and a play-a-sound option. Siri AI content discovery launches in beta on the new box and on Apple TV 4K (2nd generation or later).
Apple also introduced Apple Home Collection cameras, thermostats, and a lock designed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, with availability starting in December and some accessories in early 2027. That program lines up with earlier second-party reporting already covered on this desk.
