Tesla has added a lower-specification rear-wheel-drive Model 3 to its Hong Kong and Macau configurators, creating a cheaper entry point for buyers in both markets. The new version starts at HK$205,000 in Hong Kong and MOP252,000 in Macau, according to local Tesla pricing pages and reporting from EV and China EV outlets.
What changedThe new Model 3 sits below the existing Premium Rear-Wheel Drive, Long Range All-Wheel Drive and Performance All-Wheel Drive versions in the local lineups. In Hong Kong, the HK$205,000 starting price is about 8.5% below the previous entry point reported for the range. Macau’s MOP252,000 price is also below the MOP278,000 Premium Rear-Wheel Drive.
The simplified car is listed with a claimed maximum range of 572 kilometers. That figure and the final equipment list should be checked against the customer’s local order configuration; the new trim is not evidence that Tesla has introduced the same specification or price in other markets.
What buyers should checkThe lower price comes with a reduced specification compared with the Premium versions. Buyers should review the configurator for the exact interior, audio, wheel, driver-assistance and comfort equipment before ordering, rather than assuming that the cheaper car matches the higher trims apart from battery size.
Tesla has not announced this Hong Kong and Macau configuration as a global Model 3 change. For owners and shoppers elsewhere, the practical result is unchanged: local Tesla order pages remain the best source for availability, range certification, included equipment and delivery timing.
