Tesla Begins Limited Cybercab Rides in Austin
Tesla has begun offering its steering-wheel-free Cybercab in limited parts of Austin after an invitation-only launch event. The rollout expands Tesla’s Robotaxi fleet, but does not yet establish a retail launch date or unrestricted public access.
Tesla says it is offering Cybercab rides in limited areas of Austin, Texas, after the company held an invitation-only launch event on September 3. The two-seat vehicle is designed without a steering wheel or pedals and is intended for Tesla’s Robotaxi service.
