Tesla Semi Europe Launch Details Are Coming at IAA Transportation

What Tesla has confirmed

Tesla has not yet published European pricing, delivery dates, or the final regional configuration. Its announcement says those details will be unveiled at the Hannover trade show, with a press preview scheduled for September 14. A Semi will also be displayed at the event.

The European move follows years of limited U.S. production and customer deliveries. Tesla began high-volume manufacturing at a dedicated facility beside Gigafactory Nevada on April 29, 2026, according to reporting by Teslarati. The plant is intended to support a gradual production ramp rather than an immediate fleet-scale rollout.

The truck heading to Europe

Tesla’s refreshed Semi is offered in two announced North American configurations: a Standard Range version rated at about 325 miles and a Long Range version rated at roughly 500 miles when fully loaded to an 82,000-pound gross combination weight. The truck uses three rear-axle motors and supports charging at up to 1.2 megawatts. Those figures are reference points, not confirmed European specifications; local regulations, payload assumptions, charging standards, and cab options may change the final offer.

Tesla has also made engineering changes including a 48-volt electrical architecture, electric power take-off for refrigerated trailers, and fleet-management software with over-the-air updates. The company has not said whether every feature or range figure will carry over unchanged to Europe.

For fleet operators, the useful information will arrive with the Hannover announcement: homologated specifications, payload and range under European conditions, pricing, charging-network plans, and delivery timing. Until then, Tesla’s confirmation establishes a market-introduction plan, not completed European sales or deliveries.
