Tesla Raises U.S. Cybertruck Prices by $5,000 on Two Trims

Tesla raised the U.S. starting prices of two Cybertruck configurations by $5,000 on August 25, according to the company’s order-site pricing reviewed by Reuters and Fox Business. The Dual Motor now starts at $74,990, up from $69,990, while the Premium All-Wheel Drive version starts at $84,990, up from $79,990.

The change affects new U.S. orders for the two listed trims. Tesla’s online Cybertruck page continues to describe the pickup’s equipment and capabilities, but the company did not announce a corresponding specification change or explain the reason for the higher prices. The top-end Cyberbeast was not included in the August 25 increase and was listed at $99,990 in the reports.

For buyers, the practical result is straightforward: the entry price for the affected Dual Motor version is now $15,000 above the $59,990 promotional price Tesla briefly introduced in February. That earlier price was described as temporary; it later rose to $69,990 before the latest increase. Buyers should confirm the total shown in Tesla’s configurator, including options, fees and any incentives, before placing an order because Tesla can change vehicle pricing without a traditional model-year announcement.

The price change does not by itself establish stronger demand, a production cut, or a Cybertruck discontinuation. Reuters reported that the pickup has struggled to sustain interest since its 2023 launch, but the available reports do not establish why Tesla changed the two prices or whether the move is permanent.
