Tesla’s Solar Roof Sales Appear to Have Been Discontinued
Tesla appears to have discontinued new Solar Roof tile sales after the product disappeared from its website and Reuters reported that certified installers were told the tiles were no longer available to order. Tesla has not publicly explained the change or addressed existing owners.
Tesla has stopped selling its Solar Roof tiles, according to Reuters, which reported on August 24 that the product had disappeared from Tesla’s website and that the old Solar Roof URL redirected to the company’s solar-panel offering. Reuters

Reuters said Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment, so the company has not publicly explained whether the product has been discontinued permanently or whether any existing installation commitments are affected.
