Tesla Rolls Out 2026.26.6.5 With FSD v14.3.8 and Expanded Grok Commands
Tesla’s 2026.26.6.5 update combines FSD v14.3.8 with expanded Grok voice commands, but the rollout remains limited by hardware, market and software branch.
Tesla has started rolling out software version 2026.26.6.5, combining FSD (Supervised) v14.3.8 with the 2026 Summer Update. Tesla’s release notes describe broader Grok voice controls, while rollout reporting from Tesla Oracle and fleet tracking indicate that availability remains limited.
The update lets eligible drivers ask Grok to make phone calls from a paired phone, play or queue music, adjust climate settings, search the Controls panel, and answer questions about the vehicle or its software. Owner demonstrations have also shown commands for functions such as folding mirrors, operating the wipers and opening the glovebox, but those reports do not establish identical behavior on every car or in every market.
FSD v14.3.8 remains FSD (Supervised). The driver must continue to pay attention and be ready to take over. This software release is not consumer autonomy and is separate from Tesla’s geofenced Robotaxi operations.
The reported 2026.26.6.5 rollout initially focused on HW4 (AI4) vehicles running FSD v14.3.8 in the United States and Canada. Tesla’s release notes also distinguish hardware-specific changes, and Tesla vehicles in Europe may use a different FSD configuration. Hardware 3 owners should not assume that receiving the Summer Update means they will receive the same FSD build.
Owners can check Controls > Software, but not seeing the update does not indicate a problem. Tesla distributes software in waves, and eligibility depends on the vehicle’s hardware, market and current branch. Tesla Oracle reported the combined release on fewer than 1% of vehicles when it checked on August 28.
Tesla has discussed future voice control for FSD itself. That remains a plan, not a feature delivered by 2026.26.6.5.
