Tesla Replaces Model Y Premium’s White Cabin With €1,200 Zen Grey Option in Europe

Tesla has replaced the Black and White cabin option with a €1,200 Zen Grey interior on Model Y Premium orders in Europe, according to its regional configurators. The change affects both Rear-Wheel Drive and All-Wheel Drive versions and changes what buyers can select today.

The configurator update appeared across markets including the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Scandinavia on August 28. Tesla has not published a separate announcement or said whether existing orders will keep their previous interior selection.

What changed

Zen Grey replaces the former Black and White option on Model Y Premium, which was previously marketed as the Long Range trim. The new cabin uses light-grey seating and matching grey trim on areas including the door panels, center console and wireless-charging deck. The black headliner remains.

The option costs €1,200, the same price previously attached to the Black and White interior. Model Y Premium buyers can choose Zen Grey on both RWD and AWD configurations. The base Model Y remains limited to its default All Black cabin, while Model Y Performance retains a white interior option.

What European buyers should know

This is a change to new-order configuration, not a retrofit announcement for vehicles already delivered. Tesla has not explained whether orders placed before the configurator change will be produced with the previously selected cabin, so buyers with an open order should confirm the specification in their Tesla account or with Tesla before delivery.

The European move follows Tesla’s earlier use of Zen Grey on China-built Model Y vehicles and exports from Shanghai. It does not establish that Tesla will remove the white option in North America; the U.S. and Canadian configurators should be checked separately.
