Tesla has filed a U.S. safety recall report covering 20,349 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles whose low-beam headlamp output can exceed the maximum intensity allowed under Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108. The population includes 18,735 Model Y vehicles from model years 2020–2023 and 1,614 Model 3 vehicles from model years 2017–2023. Tesla submitted the report on August 4, 2026. The remedy was still under development in the filing, and owner notification was planned for September 15, 2026.
