Tesla’s NHTSA recall report 26V507 covers 20,349 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles over excessive low-beam headlamp intensity; the remedy was still under development when Tesla filed on August 4, 2026.
Tesla has filed a U.S. safety recall report covering 20,349 Model 3 and Model Y vehicles whose low-beam headlamp output can exceed the maximum intensity allowed under Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108. The population includes 18,735 Model Y vehicles from model years 2020–2023 and 1,614 Model 3 vehicles from model years 2017–2023. Tesla submitted the report on August 4, 2026. The remedy was still under development in the filing, and owner notification was planned for September 15, 2026. The report lists no Do Not Drive or Park Outside advisory. Owners should check the VIN through NHTSA’s recall tools or Tesla’s official channels for the latest remedy instructions.
