U.S. prices, December availability, region splits, and Apple Retail's ADT install option for wall-mounted HomeView and the new accessories.
Apple today introduced Apple Home Collection, a lineup of smart cameras, a video doorbell, a door lock, thermostats, and temperature sensors designed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric. The accessories set up with one tap on iPhone, live only in the Home app with no separate app or account, and keep Home data end-to-end encrypted so LG, Schneider, and Apple cannot read it.
Availability for all products begins in December at apple.com/store, in the Apple Store app, and at Apple Store locations, with select accessories arriving in early 2027. Apple Retail will also offer third-party installation from ADT in the U.S. starting this fall, for an additional charge. The announcement follows Apple's Welcome Home hub lineup and earlier second-party reporting on LG's doorbell and cameras and FCC filings for the lock and climate gear.
LG's four cameras capture up to 2.5K video and can recognize people, familiar faces, pets, vehicles, and packages when paired with a home hub such as HomeView, HomePod, HomePod mini, or Apple TV 4K. Event video history sits in a supported iCloud+ plan for 10 days, with no separate camera subscription. Eligible iCloud+ plans add Apple Intelligence video descriptions and natural-language search.
Built-in storage keeps recording if Wi-Fi drops. Live views and activity show up in the Home app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K, or HomeView.
LG's Smart Deadbolt Lock starts at $349.95 (U.S.) in Essence Graphite and Essence Silver, for the U.S. and Canada. Ultra Wideband can unlock automatically as a user with a home key on a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch approaches. Tap-to-unlock, an integrated PIN pad, and a hidden backup key slot are also available. The lock senses open, closed, or tampered states and supports guest access through the Home app. It is Matter compatible, supports Aliro, and keeps core access working locally without internet.
The doorbell and lock can act as a front-door system: see who is there and unlock in one Home app view or with Siri.
Two Smart Thermostats ship under the collection, both starting at $199.95 (U.S.) for the U.S. and Canada:
Adaptive Temperature in the Home app uses on-device intelligence from iPhone to adjust based on whether someone is home, winding down, or away. In the contiguous U.S., Clean Energy Guidance can shift heating and cooling to cleaner, lower-cost periods for users with a compatible utility plan. Thermostats and sensors are Matter compatible and DIY-friendly, with on-device wire detection. Separate install accessories include the LG C-Wire Power Adapter ($24.95), Schneider Home Trim Plate ($14.95), and Schneider Home C-Wire Power Adapter ($24.95).
Every accessory adds to Apple Home with a single iPhone tap, similar to setting up HomePod. Devices support Thread, update Wi-Fi credentials when the home network changes, and work with Siri scenes and presence-driven automations. Camera footage and Home app personal data stay end-to-end encrypted and are never accessible to LG Electronics, Schneider Electric, or Apple.
For customers who want professional help, Apple Retail offers third-party installation from ADT for an additional charge, available in the U.S. starting this fall. Apple Store pages say ADT can install wall-mounted HomeView, Apple Home Collection accessories, and other eligible smart home accessories in most areas, with availability and pricing at installation.adt.com. MacRumors confirms the scope covers the wall-mounted hub and the new accessory lineup.
Cameras and the doorbell launch in the U.S., Canada, and the UK; the lock, thermostats, and sensors launch in the U.S. and Canada. Apple has not said which SKUs slip to early 2027.
